MCDB 131 is a reduced serum-supplemented medium for the culture of human microvascular endothelial cells. This formulation has been reported to support clonal growth of human omental microvascular cells when supplemented with 0,7% dialysed FBS, 10 ng/ml EGF, and 1 μg/ml hydrocortisone.
