With a glass ceramic heating plate mounted in a solid block of pure PTFE, this rugged hotplate withstands boiling acid solutions and aggressive cleaning agents. The separate analogue temperature controller is connected via a 2 m PTFE coated cable, allowing it to be placed away from corrosive environments. Hot warning light flashes when temperature is above 122 °F (50 °C).
