These microprocessor-controlled units feature a front facing control panel with an easy to read LCD that displays temperature settings and intuitive icons.

Reflective, white ceramic top is chemical-resistant and easy to clean. A built-in memory recall provides users with the last set temperature, even after the unit has been turned off. For additional safety, a large, hot symbol warning light is illuminated when the hot plate is in use, this remains lit until the top plate is below 40 °C. Units are equipped with redundant safety controls, which will shut down unit in case of heater malfunction.

The low profile design utilises minimal bench space and allows use within a fume hood. Unit housing is constructed of a heat and chemical resistant polymer that remains cool to the touch during operation. The spill resistant design channels fluids away from internal components in the event of a spill.

Corresponding magnetic hotplate stirrers (heating and stirring 442-1265, 442-1268, 442-1270 and 442-1274) or magnetic stirrers (stirring only 442-1310) are also available.
