Mikrodesky HTS umožňují provádění mnoha testů současně pro rychlejší identifikaci. Zatímco některé typy jsou ideální pro testování analýz, jiné modely sloučenin se používají především pro jednoduché skladování vzorků. Mřížkové jamky mohou mít ploché, kónické nebo kulaté dno.
