VWR® CompactStar CS8, Centrifuge

The CompactStar CS8 is a small ventilated bench top centrifuge designed for the separation of various samples in the fields of chemistry, life science, clinical research and routine diagnostics. The supplied rotor accepts 8×15 ml conical tubes, 8×15 ml (16×125 mm) round bottom and 8×10 ml (16×100 mm) blood collection tubes directly and smaller tubes with an included adapter set.

The digital microprocessor ensures that the lid has been closed and that the safety lock is engaged prior to starting a centrifugation cycle. In addition, an advanced imbalance detection system constantly monitor the balance and vibration, automatically bringing the rotor to a stop if an imbalance is detected. This centrifuge is not intended for in vitro diagnostic use.

Included tube adapters are suitable for running 5 ml (12×75 mm) and 7 ml (13×100 mm) tubes.
