rProtein A Protein G GraviTrap contains ten columns with 1 ml 50% rProtein A Sepharose Fast Flow and 50% Protein G Sepharose 4 Fast Flow resins.
- For general-purpose purification of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies
- Suitable when the affinity for protein A and protein G is not known
- GraviTrap prepacked gravity flow columns enable simple one-step purification of proteins in 30 min without the need for equipment
- High purity: >95% in one step
- High protein recovery (typically 70% to 80%) due to high binding capacity of ~35 mg IgG/ml resin
This column can be used for manual purification of polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies from cell culture supernatant and biological fluids. It is particularly suitable when the affinity for protein A and protein G is not known. The gravity flow column relies on gravity and is reusable up to five times, so no additional instruments are needed for this protocol.
