About this item
Safety burners provide protection from the uncontrolled escape of gas in laboratories. The heat of the pilot flame generates an electric voltage within the thermocouple.
- The gas is able to flow
- The gas supply is interrupted and no unburnt gas can escape
Due to this voltage, a magnetic valve in the safety element remains open. In case the flame of the burners is extinguished, the thermocouple cools down and the electric voltage drops off thus closing the magnetic valve automatically.
