About this item

Octyl-Sepharose™ CL-4B is a well-proven medium for hydrophobic interaction chromatography (HIC). Octyl immobilised on 4% cross-linked agarose.

  • Phenyl immobilized on 4% cross-linked agarose
  • Aromatic ligand
  • Stable in all commonly used aqueous buffers and additives such as 8 M urea and 6 M guanidine hydrochloride
  • Negligible volume variation due to changes in pH or ionic strength

Octyl Sepharose® CL-4B and Phenyl Sepharose® CL-4B are covalently coupled to a cross-linked 4% agarose matrix by ether linkage, resulting in hydrophobic gels with minimal leakage and no ionic properties.
