RNA-Solv® Reagent è un sistema di reagenti per l'isolamento dell'RNA da cellule e tessuti. Il reagente, una soluzione monofase composta da fenolo e guanidina tiocianato, rappresenta una variazione del metodo a un passaggio di isolamento dell'RNA, sviluppato da Chomczynski e Sacchi. Il campione viene omogeneizzato e lisato nell'RNA-Solv® Reagent, che mantiene l'integrità dell'RNA frantumando e denaturando l'RNasi endogena e altri componenti cellulari. L'estrazione del lisato con cloroformio denatura ulteriormente le proteine e separa la miscela in una fase organica e una acquosa. L'RNA rimane esclusivamente nella fase acquosa e viene successivamente recuperato mediante isopropanolo.
