Glycine is a non-essential amino acid. Acts as an inhibitory neurotransmitter, particularly in brain stem and medulla. Shown to block NMDA-stimulated dopamine release in fetal mesencephalic cell cultures. Also reported to increase NMDA-receptor mediated synaptic potential in cortical neurons. It does not have a chiral center, so only amino acid with no asymmetric carbon. Therefore, it does not have a D- or L- isomer designation. This material is synthetic. It is the smallest of the 20 natural amino acids.

Creatinine, the end product of creatine catabolism is a normal constituent of urine; daily output about 25 mg/kg body weight. The increased amounts in the urine are typically associated with substantially impaired renal function. Also found together with creatine in muscle tissues and blood. It reacts with picric acid under alkaline conditions to form a Janovski complex. The rate of formation of the colored complex, measured at 480-520 nm is proportional to the creatinine concentration.
Creatinine is a useful marker for normalizing levels of other molecules found in urine and the altered creatinine levels may be associated with conditions that result in decreased renal blood flow, such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Reconstitution: Reconstitute with water to a final concentration of 1 mg/ml (use 1 ml for the 1 mg size or 5 ml for the 5 mg size) for a final solution of 1 mg/ml in 0,40 mM sodium phosphate, 6 mM NaCl, pH 7,45. Reconstitute with water to a final concentration of 25 mg/ml (0,2 ml water for the 5 mg size). This concentration of the lectin has been used for iontophoresis and neuron transport.

This product is the lyophilized powder of fluorescein-5-isothiocyanate (FITC "Isomer I")-conjugated goat IgG fraction to human IgM (5Fc µ) and buffer salts.The total protein is measured using the Biuret procedure with bovine albumin as the standard; F/P ratio is calculated using absorbance at 491.5nm. Antibody titer of the IgG fraction is standardized by equivalence-point precipitation. The IgG fraction is tested for purity and specificity at 40 mg/mL using immunoelectrophoresis. The product is mostly goat IgG; no trace of albumin is detected.
