These bearings have sealing rings to ensure a perfect seal. A special gasket made of PTFE and a FPM o-ring which is compressed by a GL screw cap ensure the stirrer shaft is sealed.

Cone can be removed easily from the socket
Ground joint does not stick and danger of breaking is reduced
Gasket can be exchanged when worn
