Ferrules for gas chromatography
Vespel/graphite and precision graphite ferrules for chromatography applications.
- Does not require a back ferrule
Graphite ferrules are made from 100% high pure graphite with temperature limit of 450 °C. Ferrules are precision formed with a flash-free ID and may be reused if not over tightened. Graphite is ideal for glass-to-metal connections because it does not stick to glass. They used for various capillary columns.
Vespel/Graphite ferrules are made from 40% graphite and 60% high temperature DuPont polyimide, withstands 400 °C. They can be reused because they do not seize onto the column, ideal for GC/MS interface applications. Straight ferrules are used for the same dimension tubing.
