It is an effective enzyme for use with pectolyase Y-23 for plant cell wall removal. It has been used in a study to assess the differential regulation of the cellulase transcription factors XYR1, ACE2, and ACE. It has also been used in a study to investigate the liquefaction of hydrothermally pretreated wheat straw at high-solids content.
