Cold solvent extractor units, COEX

In order to perform a reliable raw fibre analysis, the sample must have a low fat content (<1%). For those samples that exceed this value, a preliminary fat extraction is required using acetone, hexane or petroleum. The COEX performs rapid fat extraction directly in the same glass crucibles that are used by the FIWE Series for the next satge of fibre analysis..

• Cold extraction with appropriate solvent
• Highly efficient peristaltic pump aspirates and removes the fatty component
• Used solvent is collected in a dedicated waste bottle
• No sample transfer, as samples in the crucible are ready for immediate use in FIWE equipment.
