Attraverso la semplice apparenza del colore, le carte di prova forniscono rapide conclusioni sui livelli dei componenti del campione. Progettate per il rilevamento di elementi specifici o multiparametrici, le carte reattive o trattate con indicatori forniscono un intervallo di contenuto generale utilizzando intervalli graduati. Immergere i bastoncini monouso nel campione, quindi abbinare il colore alla tabella fornita per il metodo più economico e semplice di test di qualità. Grazie alle dimensioni compatte, le carte di prova possono essere utilizzate in loco.
