I pozzetti dispongono di una superficie inerte non umettante che impedisce il legame di DNA, RNA ed enzimi. Le pareti ultrasottili garantiscono una trasmissione del calore ottimale nel campione. Tutte le piastre possono essere sterilizzate in autoclave e certificate come esenti da RNasi, DNasi o DNA umano.
