Gli imbuti facilitano il trasferimento di liquidi o polveri nei contenitori. In genere hanno un’ampia apertura che convoglia le sostanze attraverso il gambo stretto, prevenendo fuoriuscite indesiderate e mantenendo pulita l’area di lavoro. Gli imbuti sono disponibili in modelli specializzati per specifiche applicazioni di laboratorio. Molti tipi sono compatibili con carta da filtro o fritta di vetro per operazioni di filtrazione.
