I tappi in silicone creano una chiusura ermetica sotto vuoto negli apparecchi da laboratorio, proteggendo soluzioni e mezzi contenuti da agenti esterni. La struttura chimicamente neutra è compatibile anche con solventi aggressivi. Il materiale è resistente a temperature estreme, non si crepa durante i processi di riscaldamento ed è autoclavabile per il riutilizzo. I tappi in silicone hanno una base conica e sono disponibili in diversi diametri per adattarsi a qualsiasi recipiente.
