I setti sono disponibili in diversi materiali e spessori. PTFE/gomma naturale: guarnizioni a prezzo moderato per GC e HPLC con buone proprietà chimiche. Ideali per iniezioni multiple grazie all’elevata capacità di richiudersi, ma meno facili da perforare rispetto al PTFE/RR. PTFE/gomma ad alte prestazioni: setto in gomma rossa sintetica ad alta purezza che fornisce un livello di fondo ridotto per applicazioni GC specifiche con rivelatori sensibili come ECD o NPD. PTFE/silicone (T/S): setti in silicone sintetico puro al 100%, di alta qualità e con basso valore di fondo/bianco.
