Ces pointes à filtre disposent d'un filtre en PE exempt d'additifs chimiques qui permet d'éviter la contamination des échantillons. La perméabilité est contrôlée en fonction de la taille des pores et de la longueur du filtre, afin qu'aucun aérosol ne puisse atteindre la tige de la pipette. Les filtres garantissent un fonctionnement fiable. Cependant, si des liquides entrent accidentellement en contact avec le filtre, ils peuvent passer au travers très lentement.
