Recognises a 180-185 kDa protein, identified as isoform of leukocyte common antigen (CD45RO). This antibody reacts with mature activated T-cells, most thymocytes, and a sub-population of resting T-cells within both CD4 and CD8 subsets. It shows no reactivity with normal B or natural killer cells, but reacts with granulocytes and monocytes. Reportedly, it is useful to identify T-cell lymphomas and leukemias. It rarely stains NK cells or B-cell lymphomas.

It recognises an intermediate filament protein (IFP) of 55 kDa, which is identified as cytokeratin 7. This mAb is highly specific to cytokeratin 7 and shows no cross-reaction with other IFPs. Cytokeratin 7 is a basic cytokeratin, which is found in most glandular and transitional epithelia but not in the stratified squamous epithelia. Keratin 7 is expressed in the epithelial cells of ovary, lung, and breast but not of colon, prostate, or gastrointestinal tract. This mAb is highly useful in distinguishing ovarian carcinomas (keratin 7+) from colon carcinomas (keratin 7-).

CD57/HNK-1 marks a subset of lymphocytes known as natural killer (NK) cells. Follicular center cell lymphomas often contain many NK cells within the neoplastic follicles. Anti-CD57/HNK-1 also stains neuroendocrine cells and their derived tumors, including carcinoid tumor and medulloblastoma. Anti-CD57/HNK-1 can also be useful in separating type B3 thymoma from thymic carcinoma when combined with a panel that includes antibodies against GLUT1, CD5, and CEA.

HCG is a glycoprotein which is secreted in large quantities by normal trophoblasts. It is present only in trace amounts in non-pregnant urine and sera but rises sharply during pregnancy. HCG is composed of two non-identical, non-covalently linked polypeptide chains designated as the alpha and beta subunits. The alpha subunit is identical to that of thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), and luteinizing hormone (LH). This mAb reacts with the alpha subunit of HCG.

PRKCDBP Antibody: The protein kinase C delta (PKC-δ) binding protein (PRKCDBP), also known as cavin-3, is a member of the cavin family of proteins that are involved in caveolin formation and regulation. PRKCDBP was initially identified in a screen of cultured cell lines for proteins that were strongly induced by serum starvation. Studies indicate that PRKCDBP binds not only to PKC-δ but also to caveolin-1 and helps regulate caveolin traffic and function. Similar to other members of the cavin family, the expression of PRKCDBP was found to be down-regulated in various cancer cell lines, suggesting a possible tumor suppressor function of PRKCDBP.

SDPR Antibody: The serum deprivation-response protein (SDPR) is a calcium-independent phospholipid-binding protein whose expression is increased in serum-starved cells. SDPR is a substrate for protein kinase C (PKC) phosphorylation and recruits the polymerase I and transcript release factor (PTRF) to caveolae. Removal of this protein causes caveolae loss and its over-expression results in caveolae deformation and membrane tubulation. Both SDPR and PTRF, as well as the other member of the cavin family PRKCDBP were down regulated in breast cancer cell lines and breast tumor tissue, suggesting that expression of the cavin family proteins could be a useful prognostic indicator of breast cancer progression.

JAKMIP1 Antibody: JAKMIP1, also known as Marlin-1, is a highly-conserved vertebrate-specific microtubule-associated protein that plays a role in JAK1 signaling and regulate microtubule cytoskeleton rearrangements. JAKMIP1 is expressed predominantly in neuronal and lymphoid cells and colocalizes with microtubules. Multiple isoforms of JAKMIP1 are known to exist: isoforms 1 and 5 are also expressed in liver, lung and skeletal muscle, while isoforms 2-4 are specifically expressed in brain and retina. JAKMIP1 participates in polarized secretion in lymphocytes and it has been suggested to be a novel effector memory gene restraining T cell-mediated cytotoxicity. IL-17RE Antibody: The interleukin 17 receptor E (IL-17RE) shares limited similarity to the receptor of IL-17A, a ubiquitous type I membrane glycoprotein that with IL-17A plays a pathogenic role in many inflammatory and autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis. IL-17RE is the functional receptor of IL-17C and has been suggested to mediate mucosal immunity to infection with intestinal pathogens. IL-17C is produced by epithelia in response to bacterial challenge and binds to a receptor complex formed by IL-17RE and IL-17RA on the epithelial cell surface, thereby regulating the immune function of epithelial cells in an autocrine manner.
