Conductive tips are used to prevent carryover in automated pipetting robots. The addition of graphite to the raw material PP makes the pipette tips electrically conductive. By measuring electric currents, the filling level can be determined in sample and reagent containers, so that the depth of immersion of the tip can be adjusted to the filling level.
