For the filtration of small volumes the holder is connected directly to a pressure source. For the filtration of up to 5 litre volumes of relatively easily filtrable liquids (e.g. buffer solutions, solutions for cell counters and tissue culture solutions), it is used in combination with a pressure tank. Large filling opening to simplify addition of sample. Can be attached to a tripod and clamped down.
