Antibody molecules recognising the GST portion of a recombinant fusion protein can be removed from the desired antibody by passing antiserum over an immobilised GST column. GST antibodies will bind to the immobilised GST column, whereas antibodies against other fusion proteins will pass through the column unrestrained.
