Powder for the production of AVM® broth to determine the microbiological load as part of a filling line validation under standardised conditions. AVM® is the Döhler trademark for Linden Grain Medium.

This medium allows standardised detection of beverage spoiling bacteria, yeasts and moulds. Desired pH can be adjusted by the customer to achieve high selectivity of beverage spoiling microorganisms.
For validation, the desired quantity of AVM® broth medium passes through the entire filling system and is finally filled into the original container for incubation. After incubation, each individual container is examined macroscopically for turbidity (positive result). This allows a reliable detection of trace and stray infections.
