AccuStart™ II Taq DNA Polymerase is a high purity, recombinant Taq DNA polymerase preparation with high avidity monoclonal antibodies that bind the polymerase and keep it inactive prior to the initial PCR denaturation step. Upon heat activation (1 minute at 94 °C), the antibodies denature irreversibly, releasing fully active, unmodified Taq DNA polymerase. This enables specific and efficient primer extension with the convenience of room temperature reaction assembly. Non-specific extension of primers at low temperatures is a common cause of artifacts and poor sensitivity in PCR. This ddGTP analog also contains a 1-Thiotriphosphate which results in a nuclease resistant phosphorothioate linkage. The inability of polymerases to extend from a dideoxy nucleotide causes chain termination and is useful in antiviral research and in a variety of biotechnology applications.

Le kit E-Z 96® Total RNA est conçu pour l'isolement de l'ARN cellulaire total provenant d'au plus 5×10⁶ cellules en culture ou tissus mous. Ce kit peut traiter des échantillons simples ou multiples en moins de 60 minutes. Comme il utilise la technologie des plaques de silice HiBind®, les extractions au phénol/chloroforme, l'ultracentrifugation en gradient de CsCl et la précipitation à l'isopropanol ou LiCl sont superflues. Les échantillons sont lysés dans un tampon de lyse dénaturant qui désactive les RNases. Les conditions de liaison sont ajustées et le lysat est transféré vers une plaque de 96 puits HiBind® RNA où l'ARN est purifié par trois étapes de lavage. L'ARN de grande qualité est élué dans de l'eau exempte de RNase. L'ARN purifié à l'aide de la méthode E-Z 96® Total RNA est prêt à l'emploi pour des applications telles que la RT-PCR, la qPCR, le DD, les microéchantillons, ainsi que pour d'autres applications en aval.

The AdEasy Virus Purification Kit allows the purification and concentration of Adenovirus (from Ad5 strains) with Sartobind® syringe filters containing an ion exchange membrane adsorber that selectively binds adenoviral particles. Once bound, viral particles can be further purified by washing away nonspecifically-bound proteins before elution. Concentrated and purified viral particles can be obtained in 2 to 3 hours, in contrast to traditional CsCl gradient centrifugation which typically takes 12 to 48 hours.

The Adenovirus BioProbe® labeled probe is prepared by nick translation of cloned fragments of the adenovirus 5 genome. The fragments constitute a total of 20 kb of DNA, approximately 56% of the genome. The probe is specific for adenovirus and, in addition to hybridization to adenovirus 5 sequences, the probe will cross hybridize with adenovirus types 4, 7, 11, 20, 40 and 41 due to their considerable sequence homology. Fragment size range: 100-1000 base pairs (as estimated by agarose gel electrophoresis).
