Le HPH de l'homogénéisateur haute pression est un distributeur en ligne pour assurer une production éconénergétique et continue d'émulsions très fines. Comparée à d'autres machines IKA en ligne, la distribution du HPH de l'homogénéisateur haute pression ne repose pas sur le principe du rotor/stator. L'effet d'homogénéisation est amélioré dans l'homogénéisateur grâce à la décompression spontanée du liquide de 2000 bar maximum à une pression ambiante. Avec la même consommation énergétique, le HPH IKA génère des émulsions nettement plus fines par rapport aux distributeurs classiques à anneaux dentés. L'utilisation des homogénéisateurs haute pression
est recommandée lorsqu'une désintégration jusqu'à l'échelle nanométrique est nécessaire. Toutefois, ces appareils atteignent une capacité d'écoulement inférieure à celle des distributeurs classiques.
L'homogénéisateur haute pression se compose d'une pompe à piston haute pression et d'une vanne d'homogénéisation en aval. La montée en pression dans le HPH a lieu au moyen d'un ou de plusieurs pompe(s) à piston qui, avec l'aide de pistons en céramique, assure(nt) un débit volumique indépendant de la pression et pratiquement sans pulsation. La pression d'homogénéisation souhaitée peut être ajustée à l'infini. La pression est réduite dans une fente réglable sélectionnée de la vanne d'homogénéisation. La baisse rapide de pression dans un milieu en mouvement conduit à des turbulences et des cavitations extrêmement fortes, qui déclenchent alors le broyage du produit brut. La conception du dispositif peut être personnalisée en fonction des tâches spécifiques des clients. L'homogénéisateur haute pression est disponible en deux formats avec un ou plusieurs piston(s) de diamètres variés. Ces paramètres déterminent la pression d'homogénéisation maximale (800 ou 2000 bar) en fonction du type de machine donné, le volume d'alimentation minimale autorisé (jusqu'à 10 ml), ainsi que les résultats d'homogénéisation et les capacités de débit.
