Rifampicin
Rifampicin is active against gram-positive bacteria but less active against gram-negative bacteria. It interferes with the synthesis of nucleic acids by inhibiting DNA dependent RNA polymerase. Resistance to Rifampicin can develop rapidly. The degree of resistance depends on the site of mutation in the RNA polymerase.
- Molecular Biology Grade
- Tested against both sensitive and resistant cells
- Soluble in DMSO or Methanol
- :13292-46-1
