Sodium deoxycholate Ionic detergent

Water-soluble ionic detergent useful for extraction of membrane receptors and other plasma membrane proteins. Reported to induce tyrosine phosphorylation of β-catenin and its subsequent translocation to the nucleus, promoting activation of β-catenin signaling (effective concentration 5 to 50 μM).
