An improvement over tie-on designs—the head and support basket make the full filter bag surface area available for use. Filter bags include a galvanized steel ring sewn into the top that securely holds the bag to the head. Polypropylene bags are glazed to reduce fiber migration and have welded seams for high strength. All bag designs are suitable to 100 °F (38 °C).
