Anti-UPF3B Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-UPF3B Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: ProSci Inc.

UPF3B is part of a post-splicing multiprotein complex involved in both mRNA nuclear export and mRNA surveillance. The protein is one of two functional homologs to yeast Upf3p. This protein binds to the mRNA and remains bound after nuclear export, acting as a nucleocytoplasmic shuttling protein. It forms with Y14 a complex that binds specifically 20 nt upstream of exon-exon junctionsThis gene encodes a protein that is part of a post-splicing multiprotein complex involved in both mRNA nuclear export and mRNA surveillance. The encoded protein is one of two functional homologs to yeast Upf3p. mRNA surveillance detects exported mRNAs with truncated open reading frames and initiates nonsense-mediated mRNA decay (NMD). When translation ends upstream from the last exon-exon junction, this triggers NMD to degrade mRNAs containing premature stop codons. This protein binds to the mRNA and remains bound after nuclear export, acting as a nucleocytoplasmic shuttling protein. It forms with Y14 a complex that binds specifically 20 nt upstream of exon-exon junctions. This gene is located on the long arm of chromosome X. Two splice variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Anti-DLG4 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-DLG4 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: ProSci Inc.

PSD-95 is a very prominent component of the postsynaptic densities of synapses. It contains three PDZ domains which play key roles in its interactions with other proteins in the synapse. It has been proposed that these PDZ domains organize glutamate receptors and their associated signaling proteins and determine the size and strength of synapses (Kim and Sheng, 2004). Recent work suggests that interaction of the NMDAR with PSD-95 via these PDZ domains can be regulated by phosphorylation (Chung et al., 2004).

Anti-WNT16 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-WNT16 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: ProSci Inc.

WNT proteins are secreted signaling proteins. These proteins have been implicated in oncogenesis and in several developmental processes, including regulation of cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis. WNT16 contains two transcript variants diverging at the 5' termini. These two variants are proposed to be the products of separate promoters and not to be splice variants from a single promoter. They are differentially expressed in normal tissues, one of which (variant 2) is expressed at significant levels only in the pancreas, whereas another one (variant 1) is expressed more ubiquitously with highest levels in adult kidney, placenta, brain, heart, and spleen. The WNT gene family consists of structurally related genes which encode secreted signaling proteins. Human recombinant FGF21 (from E. coli)

Supplier: ProSci Inc.

Fibroblast Growth Factor 21 (FGF21) is a growth factor that belongs to the FGF family. FGF family proteins play a central role during prenatal development and postnatal growth and regeneration of mamy tissues, by promoting cellular proliferation and differentiation. FGF21 is a potent activator of glucose uptake on adipocytes, protects animal from diet-induced obesity when overexpression in transgenic mice, and lower blood glucose and triglyceride levels when therapeutically adiministered to diabetic redents. FGF21 is produced by hepatocytes in reponse to free fatty acid stimulation of a PPARa/RXR dimeric complex. This situation occurs clinically during starvation, or following the ingestionof a highly-fat/low-carbohydrate diet.Upon FGF21 secretion, white adipose tissue is induced to release free fatty acids from triglyceride stores. Once free fatty acid reach hepatocytes, they are oxidized and reduced to acetyl-CoA. The acetyl-CoA is recombined into 4-carbon ketone bodies, release, and transported to peripheral tissue for TCA processing and energy generation.
