U-3900S and U-3900D spectrophotometers are comprehensive, research-grade solutions. They provide excellent performance afforded by low stray light, selectable band pass and high energy. Hitachi Model UH3900S/D spectrophotometer adopts a Seya-Namioka mount monochromator and a stigmatic concave diffraction grating.

UH3900S: Single monochromator model for low noise, high precision analysis. Suitable for low-concentration samples.

UH3900D: Double monochromator model for diverse measurements over a wide photometric range. Suitable for a high concentration sample since it can measure high absorbance with little stray light.

USB communication is adopted between the spectrophotometer and PC. And because the top face of the spectrophotometer is flat, a notebook PC can be mounted on it. An additional feature includes the changeable scan speed for the UV region. In this wavelength region, noise can be reduced by slowing down the scan speed.

The model UH3900S series has a stable baseline in a wavelength range from 190 to 850 nm. Data can be measured stably even in a long-time measurement of enzyme activity.

UV solutions Plus software (PC connected) software features a tabular form display for data lists and data processing results, a report layout feature and more. The UV Solutions Program supports Wavelength and Time Scan, Photometry, Maintenance and more. There is a standard performance confirmation feature to check for wavelength accuracy, wavelength setting repeatability, noise level (RMS), baseline flatness, baseline stability, spectral bandwidth, photometric accuracy, stray light and more.
