Destillationssätze nehmen das Rätselraten bei der richtigen Größenwahl der einzelnen Komponenten ab, da sie vollständig und einsatzbereit geliefert werden. Die chemisch und thermisch beständigen Glasgeräte halten der Belastung routinemäßiger Reinigungsverfahren stand, ohne zu zerbrechen. Zur Trennung von Substanzen mit unterschiedlichen Siedepunkten konzipiert, kühlen und kondensieren die Apparaturen Dampf aus erhitzten Gemischen. Destillationssätze können sowohl für spezifische Stofftrennungen als auch für allgemeine Anwendungen vorgesehen sein.
