Pyknometer
Indem sie die Differenz zwischen einem leeren und einem gefüllten Kolben berechnen und durch ein gleiches Volumen Wasser teilen, ermöglichen Pyknometer die Bestimmung der Dichte von Flüssigkeiten. Die transparenten, widerstandsfähigen Gefäße sind auch für flüchtige Flüssigkeiten oder halbfeste Bitumen geeignet. Einige Modelle können durch eine Kappe ergänzt werden, um zu verhindern, dass das Ergebnis durch Verdunstung verfälscht wird. Graduierte Hälse sorgen für einfache Messungen. Die Pyknometer sind in verschiedenen Kapazitäten und Formen zur Verwendung mit bestimmten Materialien erhältlich.
