Plasma
Alle biochemischen Tests werden mit einer Körperflüssigkeit durchgeführt, typischerweise Serum oder Plasma. Plasma ist im Prinzip dasselbe wie Serum, wird aber durch Zentrifugation des Blutes vor der Gerinnung gewonnen. Die Zentrifugation bewirkt, dass sich die dichteren Blutzellen und Blutplättchen am Boden des Zentrifugenröhrchens absetzen, während das flüssige Plasma darüber schwimmt. Dadurch lässt sich das Plasma einfacher entnehmen.
