The centrifuge accepts up to eight standard glass or plastic blood-collection tubes from 1.5 to 10 ml. The rugged, brushless motor is maintenance free.

The two-minute setting produces serum or plasma equal to tubes spun for 7 to 10 minutes in conventional clinical centrifuges.
