For homogenization of tissue samples

Sizes 21–24 have radial serrations on the lower portion of the pestle to deliver the homogenate into the cylindrical portion of the tube. Tubes and pestles are interchangeable, with a uniform 0.10–0.15mm clearance.

Grinders have a PTFE pestle and an unground borosilicate glass tube.
