The MD8 Airscan®, together with gelatin membrane filter disposables, constitutes a sampling system for accurate, reproducible and quantitative detection of airborne microorganisms in clean rooms and isolators, whether conventionally ventilated or under laminar flow. This system is capable of detecting even the smallest airborne contaminants, including viruses.

Non-nutrient based USP-approved gelatin membranes permit continuous air monitoring for 8+ hours and do not promote bacterial growth. A single command unit can be used in conjunction with multiple sampling heads in various test locations. Modularity ensures maximum versatility to accommodate current and future needs, fits in small work areas.

Delayed start feature permits personnel to exit the sampling area and minimizes the impact of area traffic on test results. Sampling head compatibility with in-line sterilization processes allows disinfection and prevention of secondary contamination system stores calibration data and up to 300 test results.
