This versatile timer with infrared sensors can be used to measure the speed of a moving object.
Hand-sized, simple to use - no software necessary
Two Infrared sensors in one device - only one BeeSpi needed to measure an object's speed
Functions include Instantaneous speed, lap time, and cumulative lap time
The BeeSpi V Photogate enables direct, instant speed measurement without the need for a computer or data logger. Using advanced light gate technology, it measures speed, lap time, and cumulative lap time with one timer - and allows acceleration calculations with a second timer. When combined with experiments such as free fall, or motion on an inclined plane, it can be used to determine gravitational acceleration, terminal velocity, and the relationship between incline angle and acceleration. It’s also ideal for demonstrating and confirming the law of conservation of energy through precise velocity measurements.
Two AAA batteries are required but not included.
