RNA Marker

RNA standards may be denatured with standard procedures, and can be visualized in Northern blots with labeled lambda sequence.

• Ethidium bromide staining will easily detect 4 µg on a standard agarose gel
• Smaller quantities can be detected with GelStar® Stain or SYBR® Green II Gel Stain

These RNA standards may be denatured with standard procedures, and can be visualized on Northern blots with labeled lambda sequence. Markers are provided at a concentration of 1 mg/ml. Ethidium bromide staining will easily detect 4 µg (4 µl) on a standard agarose gel. Smaller quantities can be detected with GelStar® nucleic acid gel stain or SYBR® green II gel stain.

RNA markers consist of RNA transcripts from 0.5 to 9 kb, in sizes of 0.5, 1, 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 9 kb.
