Labels for LABXPERT™ Laboratory Labeling System, Brady®

Labels are available in a variety of materials and styles for various applications and for use with the LABXPERT™ printer.

The FreezerBondz™ material will adhere to a frozen or frosted surface without the need to scrape or dry the vial. To be sure the label stays secured to the vial when placed back into storage, it is recommended that the label slightly overlap itself. FreezerBondz™ material withstands liquid nitrogen to –196 °C (–321 °F), and can be used in freezers and autoclaves. Freezerbondz™ II labels share all of the Freezerbondz characteristics, but do not require the short overlap for secure adhesion. The chemical-resistant polyester labels are ideal for slides, as they offer outstanding resistance to chemicals such as toluene, xylene, DMSO, ethanol, and IPA. Polyester labels can be used in freezers to –80°C (–112 °F) and autoclaves to 121 °C (250 °F). The tamper-evident polyester labels fracture into tiny pieces very easily, making unauthorized removal tedious and difficult. Labels can be used in freezers to –80 °C (–112 °F). The high-performance lab polyester labels feature a low profile to prevent vials from jamming in centrifuges and racks and they can be used in liquid nitrogen to –196 °C (–321 °F) and in autoclaves up to 121 °C (250 °F). For use in liquid nitrogen, the label must wrap around the vial and slightly overlap itself.

The nylon cloth material features a permanent adhesive and thick construction that makes it durable, yet easy to handle. Nylon cloth resists liquid nitrogen to –196 °C (–321 °F), and can be used in freezers and autoclaves. Nylon cloth material should not be used on glass in liquid nitrogen. The vinyl labels are pliable, durable, and are designed to wrap around and adhere to small-diameter, curved surfaces, such as straws. A clear tail wraps over the printed text for extra protection. Vinyl labels can be used in liquid nitrogen to –196 °C (–321 °F) and freezers. Vinyl labels are not suitable for use on glass in liquid nitrogen. The durable vinyl cloth labels have an extra thick adhesive that sticks to paraffin-coated surfaces, such as those found on tissue cassettes (post-process only). The removable adhesive is easy to handle, yet has an aggressive tack that makes it ideal for use on glass flasks, plastic jugs, as well as rough surfaces. The heavy-duty vinyl labels are designed for marking cabinets, shelves, equipment, and other large items with warning labels, instructions, and reminders. Heavy-duty vinyl may be used indoors or outdoors and sticks very well to rough and uneven surfaces. Pliable material has excellent resistance to dirt, oils, grime, and many solvents.

All labels are white with black lettering unless otherwise noted.

Freestanding labels do not wrap around themselves, providing a window to check liquid levels in vials. Short overlap labels wrap around themselves slightly for secure use in extreme conditions. Short-tail overlap labels feature a clear tail that overlaps the label slightly to secure label and provide a liquid level window while maintaining a low profile. The long-tail overlap labels feature a clear tail that extends over the text for additional solvent resistance and provides a window for checking liquid levels.
