VWR® Specific Gravity Hydrometer Set

This Hydrometer Set consists of eight DURAC® Specific Gravity/Relative Density (g/cmᶟ) Plain Form Hydrometers for measuring specific gravity of heavy and light liquids in various ranges from 0.700 to 2.000

• Hydrometers are 300 mm (12”) long and made with lead free ballast and glass
• Temperature standardization: 60 °F (15 °C)
• Thermometer is 300 mm (12”) long and made of lead-free glass; contains standard mercury-free blue organic liquid fill against a lead-free white back glass
• All units are individually serialized
• Hand inspected by our U.S. quality team

Set also includes one general-purpose liquid-in-glass thermometer to reference liquid temperature for accurate hydrometer readings.

Packaging: Packaged in a deluxe storage case with a multi-language (English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish) Statement of Accuracy indicating accuracy traceable to NIST.

Caution: Plain form hydrometers should be stored in a clean, dry, safe place. They should not be subjected to extreme temperatures.

Services: VWR CATALYST™ provides convenient and efficient re-calibration services for your hydrometers with an industry leading 5-day average turn-around time from receipt of your instrument. All the service will be performed by an ISO17025 certified lab. Recalibration, certification and shipping fees are all included in the catalog number cost. Simply order the stated catalog number based on how many calibration points are desired. You will receive a protective box to ship your instrument to Avantor's certified calibration laboratory along with a work order form to specify your calibration points and prepaid return shipping label. Upon receipt at the laboratory your instrument will be inspected for any defects under a microscope and the performance of your instrument will be compared to certified standards and corrections to one-tenth of the smallest division recorded on your signed calibration report. Your calibration report and instrument are carefully repacked returned to you with prepaid standard ground shipping. We also provide expedited service options available upon request.
