Rtx®-50 Phase Columns, Restek
About this item
For analysis of pesticides, herbicides, phthalate esters, cholesterols, triglycerides, and rosin acids.
- Low bleed
- Longer column lifetime
- Polymer is fully characterized to ensure long-term reproducibility
Can be used as a confirmational column for many environmental applications including EPA methods 604 (phenols) and 8060 (phthalate esters) and for the analysis of EPA method 608 (pesticides).
Fused silica columns are coated with crossbonded 50% methyl/50% phenyl polysiloxane stationary phase. The high thermal stability of these columns allows dual column analysis with common phases such as Rtx®-1 and Rtx®-5 for simultaneous run conditions and high column bake-out temperatures to remove contamination. Restek's Crossbond® procedure produces columns with lower bleed, longer lifetime, and column rejuvenation through solvent washing. No residual catalyst remains in the polymer which could cause degradation and increase bleed. The polymer is carefully fractionated to remove low molecular weight fragments and provide tight mono-modal distribution which results in extremely low bleed.
