Stat Peel’s Identifier system brings laboratory-grade detection capabilities to the workplace. The material-selective aerosol monitoring system uses a high-sensitivity Raman spectrometer and data analytics technology to monitor potential contamination of people and facilities. The fully automated system allows exposure monitoring of the workforce and work environment on a daily basis. The Identifier system provides the EHS specialist with a comprehensive data set of exposure patterns and release hot-spots to act upon. The exposure reports can be used for compliance purposes and communication with employees and management.

The employees wear dosimeter-like, lightweight badges during their activities. The badge collects airborne particles on a nanoporous filtration membrane. At the end of a shift, the badges are inserted into the reader, which selectively quantifies material of interest using Raman spectroscopy and reports and stores personal exposure. Badges can also be assigned for stationary sampling to monitor facility contamination, as well as cross-contamination in production environments and within production lines.

The system is sold as a package of one reader, ten wearable badges, and a starter set of filtration slides. All analysis is done automatically on-site so exposure data remains in-house.
