Agilent J&W HP-FFAP is designed primarily for the analysis of organic acids, free fatty acids, or samples that require quantitation of acidic impurities. The FFAP stationary phase is modified with acid to provide a very inert column that can accommodate the demanding analysis of acids dissolved in water.;Free fatty acids up to C24 can be analyzed by HP-FFAP without costly and time-consuming derivatization. HP-FFAP does not require priming (several injections of acids), so accurate results can be obtained quickly.
Each Agilent J&W GC column is tested with the tightest industry QC specifications for column bleed, sensitivity, and efficiency to provide you utmost confidence in qualitative and quantitative results. For details about the QC test conditions including the test probe mixture and the resulting chromatogram, please refer to the Agilent J&W GC Column Performance Summary shipped with each GC column.
Note: We do not recommend the use of water or methanol to rinse HP-FFAP GC columns.
