Imject® Maleimide-activated mcKLH and PEGylated mcKLH enable conjugation of sulfhydryl-containing peptide haptens to elicit an immune response and antibody production against the hapten

The mcKLH is maleimide-activated using a heterobifunctional crosslinker that contains an N-hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) ester and a maleimide group. The PEGylated mcKLH is activated with NHS-PEG2-Maleimide, creating a more soluble maleimideactivated mcKLH. Maleimide groups react with free sulfhydryls, forming stable thioether bonds.
