PCC-54 Detergent Concentrate is a general cleaning agent for use on many laboratory surface materials and glassware, including lenses, mirrors, and reflectors.
- Removal of Coomassie blue dye from test tubes and quartz cuvettes
- Removal of blood or serum residue from glass or plastic beakers and flasks
- Removal of colored dyes from porcelain mortar and pestles
- Removal of HIV virus from glassware, tabletops and flooring
- Removal of radioactive isotopes from benchtops and instrument surfaces
The cleaning detergent is mixture of anionic and nonionic surfactants
A 2% solution is used for routine washing applications, or for removal of particularly stubborn dry residues then soaking in a warm 20% solution is recommended. For removal of greases and oils then use two parts of 2% PCC-54™ detergent solution mixed with one part of ethyl alcohol.
PCC-54 Detergent is strong enough to remove biological residues from plastic and glass. Biodegradable and rinses away thoroughly to leave no residue.
