À propos de cet article
Tris is a buffer component in molecular biology, tissue culture, and electrophoresis procedures. These solutions of Tris hydrochloride provide convenient and highly purified solutions.
Tris is compatible with many enzymes in molecular biology, for example DNA modifying enzymes, because its buffering range is between 7.1 - 8.9. The lower pH 7.4 can be associated more with maintaining RNA, however, the pH 8.0 works equally as well with both DNA and RNA nucleic acids
Tris solutions are formulated into working concentrations for preparing the stacking and resolving portions of native or SDS-PAGE gels using discontinuous buffer systems according to Laemmli (1970) or Ornstein and Davis (1959).
Use Tris-HCl 1M pH 7.0-7.5 for DEAE Dextran-mediated transfection of non-adherent and adherent cells.
