The PromoCell Macrophage Generation Medium was developed for easy and efficient generation of M1- or M2-polarized macrophages from freshly isolated peripheral blood monocytes

The PromoCell M1-Macrophage Generation Medium DXF allows for the generation of M1-polarized macrophages, whereas the M2-Macrophage Generation Medium DXF produces M2-polarized macrophages. The chemically defined and xeno-free media formulations are free of all animal derived components and substances of human origin with Human Serum Albumin as the only exception. The Macrophage Base Medium does not include cytokines and must therefore be supplemented according to the user’s individual needs. The Monocyte Attachment Medium allows for the efficient adherence of fresh monocytes as well as for adherence selection of monocytes from freshly isolated Mononuclear Cells (MNC) while maintaining optimal cell health. Thus, the time-consuming and costly immunomagnetic purification of monocytes prior to macrophage differentiation is not necessary.
