Anti-GPR55 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-GPR55 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Enzo Life Sciences

The cannabinoid receptors CB1 (expressed primarily throughout the central nervous system) and CB2 (expressed in peripheral tissues) are members of the seven-transmembrane domain-containing family of G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs), and are named for their signaling function in response to cannabinoid drugs such as delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (delta-9-THC). Significant evidence suggests that additional cannabinoid receptors may contribute to the many behavioral, vascular, and immunological effects of agonists such as THC and endogenous cannabinoids. Evidence suggests GPR55 may act as a cannabinoid receptor, although its definition as a bona fide "CB3" receptor remains controversial. GPR55 is highly expressed in large-diameter dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons, and its activation by cannabinoid compounds (THC, JWH015, and anandamide) has been shown to release calcium from IP3-sensitive ER stores. These findings are opposed by evidence that suggests GPR55 is an intrinsic receptor for lysophosphatidylinositol (LPI).

Anti-HSP60 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody

Anti-HSP60 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody

Supplier: Enzo Life Sciences

Hsp60 is a member of the chaperonin family of heat shock proteins, with homologs functioning in the cytosol and mitochondria to fold nascent and aggregated proteins. Hsp60 is the eukaryotic homolog of the E. coli GroEL protein, and forms a multimeric complex in the mitochondria with Hsp10 (Cpn10) to form a large central cavity in which ATP-dependent protein folding takes place. TRiC/CCT, a eukaryotic relative of Hsp60, is expressed in the cytosol and participates in the folding of actin and tubulin substrates, but lacks any association with an Hsp10-like co-factor.

Anti-PLK1 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody

Anti-PLK1 Mouse Monoclonal Antibody

Supplier: Enzo Life Sciences

The polo-like kinases (PLKs) function in cell-cycle progression and in multiple stages of mitosis. PLK1 is activated by phosphorylation of Thr210 at the G2/M phase boundary. Active PLK1 participates in mitotic entry through activation of Cdc25C and nuclear import of cyclin B1, thereby activating the Cdc2/cyclin B kinase.

Anti-PTX3 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Biotin)

Anti-PTX3 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (Biotin)

Supplier: Enzo Life Sciences

Pentraxin 3 (PTX3), a member of the pentraxin family, is referred to as a long pentraxin and contains a unique PTX3 domain not found in C-reactive protein (CRP) or (Serum Amyloid P component) SAP. In contrast to CRP, PTX3 is produced from the major cell types involved in atherosclerotic lesions, namely vascular endothelial cells, vascular smooth muscle cells, macrophages, and nutrophils in response to inflammatory stimuli. Moreover, CRP is produced by the liver and represents a systemic response to local inflammation, whereas PTX3 is rapidly produced directly from damaged tissues and directly reflects the inflammatory state of the vasculature. PTX3 levels have been reported to be significantly elevated in acute myocardial infarction, and accordingly, statin treatment significantly decreases PTX3 levels. Due to the fact that PTX3 is able to reflect acute coronary syndrome (ACS) condition better than CRP, it is highly possible that PTX3 is a superior biomarker to predict future cardiovascular events.

Anti-MDA5 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-MDA5 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Enzo Life Sciences

MDA5 is a highly conserved helicase whose ATPase activity can be stimulated by RNA and less potently by DNA. It contains two N-terminal CARD domains and a C-terminal helicase domain. The helicase domain, once freed from the CARD domains, then translocates from the cytoplasm to the nucleus where it acts on chromatin architecture. This could allow a more easy access of CAD, thereby accelerating the degradation of genomic DNA.

Anti-Insulin Receptor beta Mouse Monoclonal Antibody [clone: C18C4]

Anti-Insulin Receptor beta Mouse Monoclonal Antibody [clone: C18C4]

Supplier: Enzo Life Sciences

The Insulin Receptor (InsR) is a heterodimeric receptor tyrosine kinase with an extracellular alpha-chain, a transmembrane domain and an intracellular beta-chain. InsR is activated upon binding of the peptide hormone insulin, leading to autophosphorylation of tyrosine residues 1146, 1150, and 1151 in the activation loop of the beta-chain. Additional autophosphorylation sites such as tyrosine residues 960, 972, 1316, and 1322 regulate the assembly of signal transduction complexes.

Anti-Peroxisomal Membrane Protein 70 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Anti-Peroxisomal Membrane Protein 70 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Supplier: Enzo Life Sciences

Peroxisomes are single membrane organelles which are involved in many important biochemical pathways and are found in almost all eukaryotic cells. Various toxins including phenols, alcohols, and aldehydes are targeted for modification by peroxisomes. Long chain fatty acid metabolism via β-oxidation is also mediated by this organelle. Loss of peroxisomal functions may result in diseases such as Zellweger syndrome, hyperpipecolic acidemia, neonatal adrenoleukodystrophy, and infantile Refsums disease. Peroxisomal membrane protein 70 (PMP70) is an abundant, integral membrane protein of the peroxisome. This protein is induced by treatment with hypolipidemic agents in parallel with peroxisome proliferation and stimulation of the peroxisomal β-oxidation enzymes.

Anti-AGRN Mouse Monoclonal Antibody

Anti-AGRN Mouse Monoclonal Antibody

Supplier: Enzo Life Sciences

Agrin is an essential extracellular matrix component which promotes clustering of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) and other proteins during development at the neuromuscular junction. Agrin, MuSK and Rapsyn are all essential components for AChR aggregation through an unknown mechanism. The C-terminal region of agrin is released into the medium, interacts with receptors on the muscle surface, and induces AChR aggregation. The central region contains two O-linked glycosylation sites and a domain homologous to domain III of laminin. The N-terminal region anchors agrin to the extracellular matrix via other basal membrane components. This region also contains a protease inhibitor domain and glycosaminoglycan attachment sites, increasing the predicted MW from 200kDa to ~600kDa. The diagram shown indicates the domain structure and functional regions of agrin, as well as domains required for AChR aggregation and alpha-dystroglycan and heparin binding.  Various agrin isoforms are generated by alternative splicing at the X, Y and Z sites, and differ in the presence or absence of small inserts. The isoforms can determine the biological activity of agrin and their expression in specific tissues and stages of development. While no difference in functional activity has been detected between splicing variants at site X, insertion of a 4 aa peptide at site Y modestly increases agrins nAChR clustering activity. Insertion of an 8 aa peptide at splicing site Z increases the clustering activity of soluble rat agrin 10,000 fold.
